Ironhold Command: Building a Wall That Actually Holds

Ironhold Command: Building a Wall That Actually Holds

April 15, 2026 · Lukas Berger

Everyone hits the wall at wave ten in Ironhold Command, usually literally. The attackers get a unit that ignores your front line, and if your base is a straight shot they pour right through.

The fix is funnelling. Build your walls so enemies have to take a long, winding path past your best towers instead of a direct route to the core. One good S-shaped corridor does more than twice the towers scattered randomly.

Prioritise slow effects over raw damage early. A tower that chills enemies buys your damage dealers time, and time is what wins wave defence. I run two slow towers at the corridor entrance every game now.

Save your energy for repairs between waves rather than rushing new buildings. A patched wall you already understand beats a shiny one you haven't planned around.

Do all that and night ten stops being a brick wall and becomes just another wave.
